The winery
The historic wine-making facility in Gambellara is open to visitors, and offers a realistic snapshot of company activities, with an interesting walk through the large vaulted cellars that house the enormous and precious French and Slavonia oak barrels as well as the tonneaux and barriques – the classic wooden casks – that contribute to the ageing and refinement of the company’s red wines.
Visitors can also see the particularly interesting cellar that houses the tanks, where Garganega grapes cultivated in upper-hillside locations and left to slowly raisin in lofts using traditional techniques, are transformed into the nectar that is Recioto di Gambellara Classico.
