The wine-growing area
Nestled in a verdant landscape and cradled by the soft rolling foothills of the Lessini mountains, Gambellara is the native home of the Zonin family and the headquarters of the historic winery, located between Verona and Vicenza.
This area was involved in the art of winemaking as far back as 2000 years ago, during Roman times: in fact, grape pips have been found in a tank in a villa dating back to the 1st century AD, an unmistakeable sign of an ancestral form of winemaking.
